Intensive OutPatient Program

In August 2009 the Williamson County CSCD began operating its own intensive outpatient program (IOP), along with Aftercare. This was in direct response to the increasing cost of outpatient treatment with private vendors and the amount of time it took to get offenders placed into IOP. In August 2016, the Williamson County CSCD expanded to include Thrive Supportive Outpatient (Trauma Informed SOP). As of January 2020, the Williamson County CSCD has expanded the program offerings to include additional SOP offerings, plus Cognitive Education programs. By utilizing grant funds from the TDCJ the CSCD is able to provide quality outpatient services at a significantly reduced cost to the offender. The CSCD Department employs a Director of OP Services, Assessment Counselors and other Licensed Counselors. All our programs are determined by assessment and criminogenic risk/need level. All our programs are based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, and Stages of Change, with specialized offerings for Trauma Informed Care.
